SEXY TOAST
North Devon DJ for parties, festivals and epic weddings

Wedding DJ FAQ's
1 / What kind of weddings do you work best with?
I tend to work with couples who care about music and want their wedding music to feel like a proper celebration rather than a formal function.
That usually means relaxed, stylish weddings in barns, country estates, marquees and festival-style wedding venues, where atmosphere and a great dance-floor matter.
2 / What music do you play at weddings?
My roots are in funk, house, disco and feel-good dance music, but wedding DJ sets are shaped by the room and the people in it.
Along the way that can include soul, Motown, indie, rock & roll, hip hop, club classics, drum & bass and carefully chosen crowd favourites — always used intentionally, never on autopilot.
3 / Can we choose music for our wedding?
Yes — and it’s encouraged.
Every booking includes a detailed music questionnaire where you can share:
-
artists, genres and tracks you'd love to hear (or not)
-
any Spotify playlists you’d like me to check out
I put more prep into each wedding than most, so the night feels personal rather than generic.
4 / Do you take song requests on the night?
Yes — I’m happy to play requests from guests if I have the track, and can fit them into the vibe/flow of the night you’ve asked for.
Some couples prefer a no-requests approach, which is absolutely fine too.
5 / Do you play ‘cheesy’ wedding songs?
I don’t work from generic wedding playlists, but I do believe in reading the room.
That often means mixing your music with well-timed crowd favourites to bring everyone together — always used with purpose, never by default.
6 / Do you make announcements or act as an MC?
I’m happy to make key announcements such as first dances, speeches or evening transitions.
I keep things relaxed and professional — no corny jokes or forced interaction. I’d rather let the music do the talking.
7 / Do you provide your own sound and lighting?
Yes. I provide a clean, professional sound and lighting setup suitable for weddings and private events.
All equipment is fully PAT tested and covered by £5m public liability and professional indemnity insurance, which many venues require.
8 / Can you DJ alongside a band or live musicians?
Absolutely.
I regularly work alongside bands and can DJ between their live sets. I also work with — and can recommend — excellent saxophonists and a percussionist if you’re looking to add a live element to the night.
9 /Do you offer full-day wedding DJ services?
Yes.
I can provide music for the entire day — from ceremony and drinks reception through to the evening party, building in energy throughout the day — or just focus on the dancefloor later on. We’ll shape it around your plans.
10 / How far do you travel for weddings?
I’m based in North Devon and regularly DJ weddings across Devon, Cornwall and the South West.
That said, I’m happy to travel anywhere in the UK or worldwide for destination wedding dj sets.
11 / How much does a wedding DJ cost?
It depends on the date, travel distance and the level of coverage you’re looking for.
Get in touch with a few details on the form below and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
I take on a limited number of weddings each year and focus on quality over volume.
11 / How do we book you for our wedding?
Get in touch via the contact form below with your date, venue and a bit about what you’re planning.
If I’m available, I’ll come back to you with options and we can take it from there. I'm always happy to jump on a call / video call to meet and discuss your plans.
